Los Angeles, CA-October 5, 2009
- MATECH Corp.
(OTC Bulletin Board: MTCH
- News) is
pleased to announce that the Company has performed EFS testing
on several bridges in New South Wales, Australia. MATECH's
Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) System is the only nondestructive
bridge inspection method capable of detecting growing cracks
as small as 0.01 inches in bridges, too small to be seen
with the unaided eye.
MATECH has completed several bridges in the cities of Kempsey,
Macksville, and Port Macquarie. During the inspection, multiple
growing cracks were found by MATECH's EFS technology. The
Company also trained New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority
(RTA) professionals to utilize MATECH's EFS System.
RTA is
a state government agency responsible for improving road
safety, testing and licensing drivers, registering and inspecting
vehicles, and managing an extensive road network that includes
5,051 bridges. RTA employs a staff of 6,929 in more than
180 offices throughout New South Wales, including 129 motor
registries.
"We are pleased that MATECH has completed
several significant bridge projects in Australia," said
Robert Bernstein, CEO of MATECH. "It is clear that there
is a global need for advanced bridge inspection technologies
like our EFS System. We look forward to continuing to work
closely with the government of New South Wales on additional
EFS testing projects, as well as providing them with the
equipment they need to provide cost-effective bridge management
services."
