Los Angeles, CA - November 15, 2006 - PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Material Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB; MTTG.OB - News) ("MATECH" or "the Company"), announced today that Brent Phares, Marketing Director for the Company, has been invited to join the speaker panel and present at the 2007 China Bridge Congress. Mr. Phares’ presence was requested specifically to introduce MATECH’s patented EFS system and to assist the Congress in understanding the advantages this technology will bring to China’s immense system of bridges and railroads.
The event will be held the 28th-30th of March, 2007 in Chongqing, China. It will feature a who’s who panel that is expected to include, among others, the country’s Chief Engineer for the Ministry of Communication, the Vice Presidents for the China Highway Planning and Design Institute, the President of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering, and the Chairman of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure.
MATECH CEO Robert M. Bernstein commented: "The invitation of Brent Phares and Material Technologies to present at the 2007 China Bridge Congress is a great honor for the Company. China is expected to be a huge target market for the EFS in the coming years and for us to be directly approached for a panel spot is a strong validation of MATECH’s last ten years of research. The number of bridges and railroads in the country that would benefit from our technology is absolutely staggering; reaching China’s decision makers through this Congress really is an excellent opportunity for the Company.”
