Responsible for the daily and long-term administrative, research, and education activities related to bridges and structures.  This includes the development of long-term research needs, the development of research proposals and associated budgets, interpretation of collected data, and the preparation of technical reports, papers, and briefs.  Also, in this role I am responsible for the development of training materials for both governmental and private engineers.

Currently serve as a technical advisor an R&D engineering firm specializing in the development, use, and sale of sensor-based infrastructure monitoring systems.  Currently working with sensors related to the detection of fatigue and fatigue damage.

            6/01-10/04        MGPS, Inc.:  President and Principal

Provide nondestructive testing and evaluation of infrastructure systems using commercial and in-house designed and developed instruments and systems.  Specific duties include sales, marketing, field-testing, data interpretation, budget preparation, and long-term corporate planning.

Duties include:  training bridge engineering staff, conducting bridge related research, develop research funding sources, other special projects.
